I subscribe to the NetSonic AntiSpam but spam occasionally gets through
Posted by Bleau S. on 11 February 2006 07:08 PM

As with any server-based antispam service, the spammers can and occasionally do circumvent email scanning by sending direct to the server your site is hosted. This can be identified by the absence of the "X-Spam-Status" flag in your email headers. Please notify NetSonic for assistance if you receive emails that are in fact spam and are missing these headers.

For those clients running their own mail servers or dedicated server and receive spam without the "X-Spam-Status" flag -

If you run a Sendmail based mail server, we can help you firewall your machine and configure it to only accept safe email from our antispam servers. We can also show you how to configure Sendmail to accept email from your internal users more securely. The following URL can provide some additional information on this topic -
